1933 Construction of Votorantim Cimentos’ Saint Helena cement factory, the first Votorantim Cimentos‘ unit, in the city of Votorantim (SP), Brazil.
1936 Start-up of Santa Helena plant
1977 Consolidation of the company‘s leadership position in the Brazilian cement market, with 11 plants in Brazil and approximately 37% market share
1988 Over the years, through is commitment to Brazilian potential, the company achieves 40% of national cement production
1997 First phase of international expansion – acquisition of participation in Bolivia
2000 Over time, after a series of investments, Votorantim doubled the number of its cement plants, totaling 22 in Brazil

Sale of non-strategic assets in Florida, China and Chile

2018 Expansion in Charlevoix (USA), adding 0.6 million tons of cement capacity.

Creation of a holding in Luxembourg (VCI).

Selling of non-strategic assets in Peru and India.

Manaus terminal acquisition

2019 Expansion of adjacent products in center-west of Brazil: Agricultural inputs in Nobres (MT), and a new mortar unit in Cuiabá (MT)
