1933	Construction of Votorantim Cimentos’ Saint Helena cement factory, the first Votorantim Cimentos‘ unit, in the city of Votorantim (SP), Brazil.
1936	Start-up of Santa Helena plant
1977	Consolidation of the company‘s leadership position in the Brazilian cement market, with 11 plants in Brazil and approximately 37% market share
1988	Over the years, through is commitment to Brazilian potential, the company achieves 40% of national cement production
1997	First phase of international expansion – acquisition of participation in Bolivia
2000	Over time, after a series of investments, Votorantim doubled the number of its cement plants, totaling 22 in Brazil
2001	First phase of North America expansion: Canada and United States
2002	Acquisition of Engemix, a Brazilian concrete company
2007-2009	Expansion in South America through equity acquisition – Argentina, Bolivia, Chile and Uruguay
2010-2012	Acquisition of participation in Cimpor and exchange of assets, and gaining a foothold in Spain, Turkey, Tunisia, Morocco, India and China
2015	Start-up of the Edealina unit, in the state of Bahia, Brazil, with an installed capacity of 2.0 million tons of cement

2017	Expansion project in Sivas unit, in Turkey, adding 1.2 million tons of installed capacity Sale of non-strategic assets in Florida, China and Chile
2018	Expansion in Charlevoix (USA), adding 0.6 million tons of cement capacity. Creation of a holding in Luxembourg (VCI). Selling of non-strategic assets in Peru and India. Manaus terminal acquisition
2019	Expansion of adjacent products in center-west of Brazil: Agricultural inputs in Nobres (MT), and a new mortar unit in Cuiabá (MT) Acquisition of a new mortar plant in Pará and acquisition of United Materials LLC (USA), company focused on ready-mix and aggregates in the Great Lakes region in US. 2021	Inauguration of Pecém II: Our new mill will supply the market in the metropolitan region of Fortaleza with Cement Poty – All Works, with greater strength and protection against sea fog, using technologies and innovations for a more sustainable production Combination of cement operation in VCNA: St. Marys Cement Inc. and McInnis Cement start joint operation of production, distribution and sale of cement in Canada and the United States. Acquisition of Cementos Balboa: Located in the Extremadura region in Spain.
2022	Start-up of the modernization project in Uruguay, optimizing our cement griding site. Acquisition of Heidelberg Materials’ operations: Located in Málaga, Southern Spain. Launch of the new corporate brand. New CO₂ target emission approved by Science Based Target initiatives.
